Visa for language courses in New Zealand


Visa:

- valid for every citizen from foreign countries
- citizens from following countries are excluded concerning a stay up to 90 days:
Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, other EU-countries and Switzerland
- As well as: Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Czech, Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Tuvalu, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Uruguay, Vatican City

Note: Residents of Switzerland should apply for all temporary visas at the New Zealand Consulate-General in Geneva.

Application documents for a visa:


- a valid passport or travel document (which must be valid for three months after your expected departure from New Zealand);
- evidence of funds supporting your stay in New Zealand, or evidence of sponsorship on the form Financial Undertaking for a Student ;
- evidence of travel to and from New Zealand. (A complete itinerary is required to ensure your visa is issued for the correct period.);
- a formal offer of a place at a New Zealand educational institution, which must include:

- the name of the course and the minimum time required for completion;
- evidence that the course meets foreign student policy requirements;
- notification of the amount of the fee for the complete course or, where the course is longer than - - one year, the annual fee;
- advice as to whether the student does or does not have to pay course fees;

- evidence of payment of course fees or exemption from course fees (students studying under reciprocal exchange schemes approved by the New Zealand Minister of Education are exempt from having to pay course fees);
- a guarantee of accommodation from either the institution or from some other person prepared to provide accommodation;
- Please note, the Visa will be issued in accordance with the fee paid (ie. if the fee is paid for the first year only, a 1 year visa will be issued even if the course of study is for three years).
- if you are under 17 years old please enclose a written declaration from a parent or guardian in support of your visa application.
- FOR EXCHANGE SCHEME STUDENTS : please also provide proof that you are participating in an approved exchange scheme and that you will be in possession of medical and insurance cover during your stay in New Zealand

Note: Provide a pre-paid, self-addressed, return courier envelope with any application submitted. This is to enable the safe return of all original documents.

Fees:
- Visitor Visa: 65 €
- Student Visa: 110 €
- Working Visa: 110 €
