Visa for language courses in Switzerland


Visa:

- valid for every citizen from foreign countries
- citizen from following countries are excluded concerning a stay up to 90 days:
Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, other EU-countries and Switzerland


Disclosure by passport does apply:

- to any nationals
- Exception: citizen with a valid ID-Card from the following European countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the other EU-countries

Attention: passport has to be valid at least 3 months at the day of entry


Application documents for a visa:

- 3 visa application forms, fully completed and signed by the applicant
- 3 copies of confirmation/registration letter from the school, university, etc. in Switzerland
- 3 copies of confirmation of payment of school tuition fees
- A statement containing exact details of the applicant's income and assets, with official proof and/or bank statements (three copies each)
- 3 copies of previous diplomas and school certificates
- 3 copies of a written confirmation that the applicant will leave Switzerland after he/she completes the chosen course study
- 3 copies of a resume (biographical data, schools attended, etc.)
- 3 copies of a brief essay on the applicant's future plans
- 3 copies of the applicant's passport
- 3 recent passport pictures

Requirements for Obtaining a Work Visa in Switzerland:

Three visa application forms, fully completed and signed by the applicant
Three recent passport pictures
Three copies of the applicant´s passport
Three copies of the applicant´s employment letter


Note: The applicant's request will be forwarded for a decision to the immigration authority where you intend to study, and the Swiss Embassy or Consulates General are only allowed to issue a student visa upon receipt of the authorization. Please note that the procedure takes approx. 6-8 weeks.


Fees:

The visa fees must be paid when you apply. If the visa is denied or you decide to withdraw the application, a non-refundable processing fee of $44.00 will be retained from your payment. An additional charge of 50% of the regular visa fee will be required if the visa is issued on the same day.

For adults and children:

Validity of use from 1 day up to 12 months: US$ 44.00
Validity of use between 12 and 24 months: US$ 88.00
Validity of use between 24 and 36 months: US$ 132.00

To be paid in cash or money order (personal checks and credit cards are not accepted).
