Hawaii-Waikiki is a safe and cosmopolitan city located on the beautiful island of Oahu in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Its friendly nature and tropical weather make it an ideal location for year-round outdoor activities including Diamond Head Crater, the spectacular beaches of Waikiki, Hanauma Bay Marine Reserve and historic Pearl Harbour. The fabulous natural beauty of the neighbour islands of Maui, Kauai, Molokai and the Big Island is just a short plane ride away.

The curriculum in all programs emphasizes the practical application of skills and concepts and is based on a student-centered approach to language instruction. Our professional, organized programs are presented in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All students receive a full-day orientation on the official starting date. Each student receives personal attention from our qualified staff throughout their course of study. At the end of every session, students are tested and evaluated and Progress Reports are given to all students, who also receive a Certificate of completion and Student Awards.

Global Village offers quality Homestay Services for students who want to experience local culture in a safe and secure environment. The homestay program includes: Careful selection of families Computerized placement of students 2-3 meals/day (depending on location) Private room Laundry facilities Access to TV and telephone Professional counselling service Airport pick-up The quality Homestay Service offered by each GV school is managed by the schools and does not rely on third party's homestay proposals. Our Homestay department in each schools regularly monitors and visit the Host families to ensure our students are well taken care of and benefit of the same confort they would have at home.

We believe that student participation in a variety of recreational and cultural activities is central to a positive experience at the school. For each session, the Activities Coordinators organize cultural and recreational pursuits which are fun, entertaining and reflect the characteristics of the area. Various cultural and recreational activities are organized on a frequent basis with the participation of school staff. The number of participants may be limited in some activities and students should sign up early. Students are responsible for any extra fees. School parties and events Each school organizes regular dance parties and all-school events with a variety of themes throughout the year. Excursion costs Free to US$ 180.00, except three-day weekend trips.
