Queens Academy of English offers modern and comfortable facilities. Classrooms are well designed and make use of the latest audio-visual and other equipment. Classes range in size from 8 to a maximum of 15 students. The computer lab gives students access to email, internet and learning resources. There is a full kitchen for student use which includes access to amenities such as a fridge, microwaves and dishwasher, as well as free tea and coffee. Students can enjoy to a full range of student services including access to the internet, telephone, photocopying and counselling. Queens Academy of English is registered as a private training establishment by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under the provisions of the Education Act 1989 and its subsequent amendments. Queens Academy of English observes the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students published by the Minister of Education. Throughout New Zealand are many beautiful beaches, natural reserves, lakes, hot springs, mountains and tourist attractions to explore. Students have many opportunities to put the English learnt at QAE into practice. Queens Academy of English is conveniently located in the central business district of New Zealand's largest city, Auckland. Queens Academy is only minutes from Auckland University, student accommodation and the main entertainment areas of Queen Street and the Viaduct Basin. The school is conveniently located opposite the new Transport Terminal where regular buses, trains and ferry depart.

Queens Academy of English offers a range of full-time and part-time English Language courses. Each course is made up of levels of competency from beginner to advanced. Upon entry all students sit a placement test in reading, writing and spoken English to determine entry level. Levels of English are assessed formally every six weeks to determine progress. QAE Certificate in English Language is approved by the New Zealand government Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

Students at Queens Academy of English have access to a number of accommodation options. QAE guarantee accommodation for international students; however, students are also welcome to make their own arrangements. The accommodation officer provides advice on private accommodation. Under New Zealand law students under 18 must stay in accommodation provided by QAE if not living with parents or approved legal guardians. The usual and most popular form of accommodation is homestay ($200 to $250 per week). Students live with a carefully selected New Zealand family who provide meals (except lunch) and board as well as the chance to experience the local lifestyle and practice spoken English. Homestay families have a responsibility to look after their students who are expected to behave well. Queens Academy monitors homestay families and student counsellors are available should any problems arise. Many students choose to live in a student hostel with other international students or in one of the many Backpacker hostels throughout Auckland ($19 to $24 per night). Another popular option is known as flatting ($120 to $250 per week). This involves sharing a house or apartment with other people (not always students).

Activities provide an opportunity to both experience New Zealand culture and practice English. Queens Academy also organises regular trips to local shows, sporting events, picnics throughout Auckland and weekend ski trips. Auckland City Council is committed to community events and there are always festivals and events to visit each weekend with friends.
