The Edenz campus is located on Queen St, Auckland's main shopping street. It is easy to find and close to all major banks, quality shopping, sport facilities, cinemas and international restaurants and cafes, and is a short walk to Viaduct Harbour. Because of its central location, transport facilities are also readily accessible.
Over the years Edenz has established a very good reputation for its tuition and care of students. Edenz began with a General English program which continues to attract students from many parts of the world. Over the years the college has added ESOL Teacher Training, Film Making, as well as Business and Computing courses which lprovide a pathway to a degree. It also offers Internship options for those wanting an overseas working experience. For more information about these options see our website, www.edenz.com, or our German language website, www.edenz.de.com.
General English:
Some students come to New Zealand to begin to learn, or to improve on their English language skills, and to spend time enjoying the natural beauty and rich cultural and recreational environment that New Zealand has to offer. Others come to pursue their degree studies or professional careers in the English language medium, and need some extra time and help to reach the required language level.
Our General English, or ESOL program (including IELTS preparation classes), is a great place to accomplish all of these objectives - offering high quality English tuition and internationally experienced English teachers who are skilled in modern methods of ESOL teaching, and care about each individual student. Students can start every Monday, and are placed in class levels according to their current language ability - ranging from absolute beginners to advanced.
We realize that every student learns at a different speed and has different strengths and weaknesses. At Edenz we support our teachers and encourage them to make each student feel like they are the only one in the class. This individual care and attention means that your English will make good progress, and your teacher will also become your friend.
General English runs to the following timetable:
09:00 - 10:30 Class 1
10:30 - 10:45 Morning Break
10:45 - 12:15 Class 2
12:15 - 13:00 Lunch
13:00 - 15:00 Elective Class (or Friday Activity)
Edenz has a proven record with high results. Students at Edenz have gone on to degree programs and employment in English speaking countries, some even becoming teachers themselves. Whatever your goal - studying English at Edenz is the right choice!

Homestays
We believe a homestay is the best way to start your stay in New Zealand, even if your plans are to be more independent. It allows you to adjust to the New Zealand way of life, familiarize yourself with the transport systems and offers you a chance to practice your English, giving you that extra care while you settle into a new culture. All our homestays are regularly checked and must pass a detailed evaluation process. Homestays start at $210 per week, include breakfast & dinner on weekdays as well as three meals on weekends. After 4 weeks the price reduces to $200.
Hostels
There are several hostels nearby our campus and these range from $130-$200 per week. This price does not include food. It is important to remember that while staying in a hostel offers more independence than a homestay it requires students to provide for themselves. Students can apply for hostel accommodation in the same way as for a homestay, with Edenz making the placement.
Flats & Apartments
Flats range from $100-$200 per person per week depending on the location of the flat and the number of students sharing the cost. This price does not include electricity, phone or food.
Apartments can range from $150-$500 per week depending on the location, time of year and number of bedrooms. This price does not include electricity, telephone or food.
Edenz will only assist with finding flats and apartments after the student has been living in an Edenz homestay for 4 weeks.
Activities
| Regular activities: |
There are regular Friday afternoon activities, incl. activity focused workshops such as painting, international cooking, poetry etc., and also visits to parks, museums, the beach, or sports. |
