Kingsbrook Spanish School In Kingsbrook our goal for you is to learn in a pleasant, fun and efficient way; in an ideal environment such as Barcelona. We also want you to have a great and positive personal experience. To achieve this aim we have a team of professional qualified/experienced native teachers and our staff will help you in anything. Our methodology is dynamic, communicative and participative. Not just the rules of grammar, but a language to use and communicate in so we consider conversation very important as will enable you to use Spanish quickly in order to communicate with people. We work with small groups (average eight, maximum ten) and we recive students from more than 45 countries so the mixture of nationalities and cultures guarantee an international atmosphere, making cultural exchange easy between our students. The School Refurnished in 2003 with a modern/attractive design makes Kingsbrook a perfect place to study Spanish. Study room in which twice a week you get free review lessons. Internet room with free access and Coffee room to relax, talk with the other students, listen to music or read a magazine. We also offer Library service for free and Kingsbrook card with discounts in museums, cinemas, theatres, public transport, libraries, shops, haidressers, gyms or restaurants. Moreover in January 2005 we opened a new area with 6 more Classrooms, a Library, bigger Coffe Area and a bigger Computer Room. Courses We have from Semi-intensives to Intensive Spanish courses in the morning, afternoon or evening and Special courses with Literature, History, Art, Gastronomy and Flamenco concepts are available. We also offer Business Spanish and Internships in Barcelona/Madrid in different areas like Business, Administration, Marketing, Psycologhy, Language Teaching, Hospitality Industry and many more. Leisure/Cultural Activities Our activities program as walking tours, Theater/Flamenco/Music shows, International Meals, Festivals, Skiing, Beaches, Football matches or excursions out of the city will allow you to practise Spanish as well as learn our culture and the exciting city of Barcelona and its surrounds. Location We are located in the Eixample quarter and just walking you can reach famous Pedrera by Gaudí. Sagrada Familia, Plaza Catalunya, Las Ramblas and the old town are just two stops by underground. We also are close to Gracia quarter fully of young people, art galleries, clubs, shops, terraces… really the most exciting area in Barcelona along with Borne quarter. Taking a walk in Barcelona is unbeatable! Gothic architecture in the labyrinthic Old town, Gaudí’s modernist buildings such as La Pedrera, Las Ramblas with its human statues, the Sagrada Familia, the Olympic village by the sea and the beaches, the Barceloneta with its terraces and tapas. All year round this vibrant city organises different festivals, shows, international events…..You will enjoy sunny and mild weather all year which makes Barcelona a perfect place to study Spanish anytime. _Teachers are native and highly qualified. All they have University degree and have made courses and seminars on Spanish as a foreign language. Our method is totally communicative, dynamic and participative. _Classes are focused on conversation, grammar and vocabulary but we take special care on conversation as we want you to use quickly the speaking Spanish in your daily life. _We have our own dossiers which are compiled from the best of the most well known Spanish Books. _We work with small classes with an average of 8 students and a maximum of 10 by class. In this way, the teacher can dedicate more time to students and thereby help their learning. _In Kingsbrook we receive students from more than 45 nationalities so that mixture of cultures guarantee an international atmosphere, making cultural exchange easy between our students. _We work to six levels according to the EU directrive for second languages learning. Before beginning the course, each student takes a grammar and a speaking level test in order to asses your Spanish and place you at the correct level. The grammar levels are Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate and Advanced; levels on conversation are Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced. _You will receive a Language Certificate at the end of the course stating the amount of hours taken, the attendance and the level reached. _At Kingsbrook you will enjoy Free Internet acces as well as free WI-FI Connection in all areas of the school.

HOMESTAY All host families are selected by us and are near or within easy reach (bus/metro) of the school. We recommend this form of accommodation as being the most comfortable and also the best way to keep practicing Spanish outside the classroom. All students have the use of the kitchen. SHARED APARTMENT Shared with other students or young people of Barcelona and ocasionally with the owner in a single room. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom are shared. Sometimes you can have your own bathroom. STUDENT RESIDENCE We can offer a wide range of Residences close to the school. PRIVATE STUDIO If you want to live alone we can offer you a small apartment (40/80 m2) with your own kitchen, bathroom, living and one, two or three bedrooms. Leisure and cultural activities All year round we try to give you not only an academic experience but the opportunity to know our country and its customs by organising different activities. Borne quarter with its art galleries and bohemian life, Gothic districts and its tascas, Dalí Museum in Figueres, Costa Brava beaches, football matches, movie passes, flamenco shows, night cocktails... We believe this is part of the course as on these trips you will always be accompanied by our teachers, who will help you to practice Spanish. You can also get to know other students who are not in your class.
