The Institut Linguistique Adenet is a professionally run school setting the highest standards of tuition and services to achieve efficient, effective training provided in a friendly, personal atmosphere in the heart of Montpellier’s beautiful historic centre. You wish to learn French or to improve your French knowledge and would like to learn quickly to communicate confidently in French. You have only a couple of weeks or several months at your disposal and wish to study in one of France’s year round most attractive regions. Not only do we provide efficient, effective training in a friendly atmosphere, but we will also be there for you to advise and guide you throughout your stay with us. We offer a wide range of courses for all levels from beginners to advanced. Small class sizes of a maximum of 10 students allow for an active participation of each student. All our teachers are fully qualified to teach French as a foreign language. Their experience, and dynamic stimulating way of teaching in connection with our interactive method will enable you to progress quickly. The working atmosphere is serious, but relaxed. For accommodation you have the choice: We recommend a stay in one of our carefully selected host families, which enables you to experience total immersion in French language and culture. Our student residences offer studio accommodation. You will have your own bathroom and own cooking facilities. This is the ideal place to meet people from all over the world. For the more discerning student we can also arrange hotel accommodation or an apartment in a 3-star apartment hotel. The weekly changing activity program offers spare time activities and cultural visits such as: Guided tours of the historic centre of Montpellier, cheese and wine parties, dinners in restaurants with your teacher, excursions to Avignon, Nimes, Arles etc. The city of Montpellier offers a beautiful historic centre (our school is in the heart of the historic centre in a private mansion) with narrow picturesque streets, elegant private mansion houses dating back to the 16th century and many tree shaded cafés. As a typical student town with 60.000 students there is a very attractive cultural life and the daily cost of living is much lower than for most other destinations in France. Many street musicians and artists contribute to the warm mediterranean atmosphere of the city. Montpellier opens like an amphitheatre toward the Mediterranean Sea with its long, sandy beaches and the salt lagoons with huge colonies of wild pink flamingos. The interior is fascinating and unspoilt with many creeks, gorges and mountain villages to be discovered. This is also a big wine growing area with many excellent wines to be tasted. The climate is excellent. Summer lasts until late October and one can even sit outside in winter to drink ones coffee in one of the numerous cafés. The sun shines on more than 300 days a year….

We believe that cultural and social activities are important to learn the language, but also to learn about culture. We therefore offer year round at least four activities per week. All activities are accompanied by your teacher. Some activities are free of charge.
