Quorum, the only Accredited Centre by the Instituto Cervantes in Nerja and the region, is situated at the entrance of Nerja. Only 5 min walk from the beach. Set in an original Andalusian house where you can enjoy classes and make friends while sipping a coffee from our cafeteria during the break. Quorum's bright and fully-equipped classrooms provide a tranquil atmosphere in which to learn.

Nerja, the Oasis of Europe. Originally named Narixa, meaning rich in water, has many legends and stories that have been passed by word of mouth across the centuries. Nerja´s strong Andalusian character, almost perfect climate, and cosmopolitan atmosphere, has made it one of the most attractive spots on the Costa del Sol. Less than one hour from Málaga Airport and almost equidistant from the famous Andalusian cities of Granada, Seville, Córdoba, Ronda, and just across from the coast of Morocco, Nerja is known world-wide for its open welcome to all people and for its spectacular Caves where an International Festival takes place. A must for any visitor to the Costa del Sol is a IX century fortification crowned as the "Balcony of Europe". In the very heart of Nerja, this romantic setting is today the focus of many cultural activities and a popular meeting place. This scenic promenade adorned with palm trees and exotic plants provides an exceptional view of the Mediterranean. To stroll along the streets and promenades of Nerja is a joy to the eye.

Our teaching method is communicative, and the principal objective is for students to develop their skills through a complete immersion in Spanish life. Quorum aims to: -Teach you a new language. -Consolidate the Spanish language you already know. -Encourage you to explore different ways of thinking about Spanish language and culture learning. -Develop good study habits which can be used outside the Spanish classroom. -Promote cultural awareness. HOW DOES THE TEACHING HAPPEN? -With active participation in a relaxed working atmosphere, based on interaction and conversation. -With individual and personal attention from a tutor teacher. -With a teaching of grammar oriented to the needs of the student. -With real and interactive situations. -Small groups (maximum of eight students) with flexibility of timetable. -With a system of continuous evaluation.

You can choose between staying in a family, a private apartment, shared apartment or a hotel/hostel. All our accommodations are inspected by the Accommodation Officer before any student is placed there. The families are carefully selected and the school is in constant contact with your host family during your stay. All houses and apartments are less than 15 minutes walking distance from the school and the beach.

Quorum's extra-curricular programme is the perfect complement to our courses, and our location allows you to visit with ease the most important historical and cultural attractions of Andalusia. Every activity or excursion is guided by a member of our teaching staff, which gives you the opportunity to practise your newly acquired language skills in real life situations.
