Accord–Language School was founded in 1988 and offers high quality French as a foreign language, English and other foreign language courses. The school is located in the heart of Paris in a typical Parisian building. Classrooms are bright, spacious and are all equipped with audio-visual materials. Accord – Language School is accredited by CSN in northern european countries as well as Bildungsurlaub in several German regions. Accord-Language School is registered as a Private Institute of High Education (Academy of Paris agreement N° 588) and has an official agreement with the Universities of Paris VIII, Paris VII and Paris V. Accord – Language School is member of SOUFFLE (the professional organization for quality language training centers teaching French as a foreign language), Maison de la France, the French Youth Tourism Club (part of Maison de la France) and ELITE (European Federation of Associations for Teaching of Mother Tongues to Foreigners). Accord – Language School is also in contact with many traval agencies specialised in linguistic stays.

Our main objective is to develop an individual's learning strategies. This enables the students to transfer communication skills already mastered in the native language to the new language. Verbal communication is a priority: learning to listen and understand, to express oneself correctly and with good pronunciation. The final objective is to raise student's language level to an efficient standard of communication. This requires not only a perfect command of the language but also a profound understanding of the cultural context.

Host families are carefully chosen and located within Paris. They are used to welcoming foreign students and, therefore, know how to help them familiarize themselves with the French way of life and the French culture. Single or double rooms, Bed & Breakfast (B&B) or half-board (breakfast and evening meal). The half-board option is ideal for practising French outside lesson time. "Louis Lumière" Residence is located in the east of Paris, by the Porte de Bagnolet. It provides single and double rooms with breakfast or half-board. All rooms are equipped with shower and toilet, TV and telephone. Bed sheets and towels are changed every week. The high quality C.I.S.P. RAVEL residence (Centre International de Séjour de Paris) is Accord's partner residence and is situated 6 rue Maurice Ravel, between Porte de Vincennes and Porte Dorée, near the Bois de Vincennes and the Daumesnil lake.The residence comprises classrooms, a cafeteria, a self-service restaurant and a TV-area. Accommodation is provided in single, double or triple rooms with half-board only. All rooms are equipped with shower, toilette and telephone. Beds are changed every week. Towels are not provided. "Summer Campus" (July and August only) The " Summer Campus" is situated in the south of Paris, near the Exhibition Park of Porte de Versaillesless than 5 minutes walk from Aquaboulevard (swimming pool and water leisure centre). Students will find 30 classrooms, a cafeteria, a self-service restaurant, a TV-area, a "foyer" (rest-room for the students) with large terraces and a fitness centre within the residence. Accommodation is provided in single and twin rooms, with half-board (breakfast and dinner). All rooms are fitted with a bed, a table, a chair, a small wardrobe and a sink per person. Common showers and toilets on each floor. Bed sheets are provided and changed once a week. Towels are not provided. All the facilities are modern, functional and of very good quality.

In addition to language courses Accord–Language School organises cultural activities regularly for its students enabling them to acquire a better understanding and appreciation of French culture. This programme varies according to the season and the Parisian cultural events.
