Amazonas Education & Travel (Amazonas Spanish School Division)

Amazonas Education & Travel through Amazonas Spanish School Division has been teaching Spanish since 1989. Our school is certified by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador. We offer intensive and semi-intensive Spanish courses, one to one system and small group classes (max. 4 students per class). Our Spanish courses are all year round. Our different programs will fit 100% according with our student's specific needs, length of study and personal objectives. Our students are from all over the world. Mostly, we offer a staff of highly trained motivated professors devoted to providing Spanish instruction of the highest quality. All of our teachers have gotten a University Certificate in Literature or Languages and have successfully completed an extensive course in Pedagogy. In addition, each teacher has at least six years of experience teaching the language. (Many of them have 8-10-12 years of experience). We offer the following programs: Regular Spanish Program, Dynamic Spanish Program, Quito Interactive and Cultural Spanish Program, Commercial and Bussines Spanish Program, Amazing Amazon Spanish Program, Sunny Coast Spanish Program, Enchanted Galapagos Spanish Program, Spanish and Travel Program. In order to provide a truly "Full Spanish Immersion" experience, we carefully screen Ecuadorian families and arrange homestays for interested students. The family will provide a private bedroom, 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and laundry service. We also offer volunteer program opportunities in and around Quito. We are reccommended by the main travel guides in the world, such as: Lonely Planet, Footprint Handbooks, Moon Handbooks, Ecuador Handbook, Know How Reise, Rough Guides, SAE Members, between others. We can also help our customers to travel around Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia: Galapagos Islands, the jungle, the coast, the mountains, etc. We have very special prices for them through our in-house travel Agency: Amazonas Travel.

Our school is located in the heart of Quito's commercial-touristic district, directly on all major public transportation routes including bus and trolley lines. It is surrounded by many restaurants, 5 star hotels, shops, stores, bars, and tourist attractions. Our facilities allow us to serve 30-40 students average per week. Our students are from all over the world. Our main office is in Quito. We also have other locations in the Jungle, the Coast and the Galapagos Islands.

* 4 weeks of intensive Spanish classes (7 hours daily) + homestay in Quito. This includes 140 hours of individual lessons, teaching materials, 28 days of Ecuadorian homestay, total cost US $ 1,654.00 * 4 weeks of semi-intensive Spanish classes (5 hours daily) + homestay in Quito. This includes 100 hours of individual lessons, teaching materials, 28 days of Ecuadorian homestay, total cost US $ 1,350.00 * 1 week of classes in the Jungle, 20 hours of individual Spanish classes, lodging in Indian cabins, full board, round trip transportation by public bus and excursions every day US $ 500.00 * 1 week of classes on the Coast, 20 hours of individual Spanish classes, lodging in eco-cabins, full board, round trip transportation by public bus and excursions every day US $ 530.00 It is possible to combine some of our programs: e.g. 3 weeks in Quito and 1 week in the jungle, 3 weeks in Quito + 1 week in the jungle and 1 week in the coast. The above mentioned costs include: Individual Spanish classes, homestay with an Ecuadorian family (private bedroom, full board, laundry service), study materials, one excursion or cultural activity per week, dancing lessons, cooking lessons, internet access and e-mail service, Hilton Health Club facilities for 2 weeks (only applicable with 80 hours of Spanish lessons or up), Amazonas Diploma and/or Certificate, transfer from the airport to the Ecuadorian Family, tourist information about Ecuador, visits to the foundations that we support.

In order to provide a truly "Full Spanish Immersion" experience, we carefully screen Ecuadorian families and arrange homestays for interested students. Our families are located near the school, in very good and safe neighborhoods at the North sector. The family will provide a private bedroom, 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner), laundry service and the best opportunity to practice the language with native speakers and share our Ecuadorian customs. We can also arrange housing in apartments and hostels, upon request.

In order to practice the Spanish, network with the rest of students and enjoy the beauty of Quito and its surroundings, we are offering a huge range of interesting activities for our students. They are free of charge Monday to Friday.
