The Dante Alighieri Italian language school founded in 1923 and officially accredidited by the Italian Ministry of Education has only one objective: to teach and to propagate Italian language and culture throughout the world. Over the years it has become famous for its Italian language courses for foreign students and It organizes its courses in several important cities of art in Italy. Qualified italian teachers , modern facilities, small groups, cultural events, pleasant and friendly atmosphere. We offer high quality Italian language courses for foreign students based on a flexible and dynamic method.

The Rome school is situated in the heart of the capital, its backdrop the Vatican City and the majestic St. Peter's Basilica. The Rome school is easily accessible by subway (Line A Ottaviano stop), and other means of public transport (St. Peter's railway station).

Our didactic method is the result of many years experience of teaching italian to non-native speakers. The approach is strictly communicative and the student is encouraged to express himself while considering the linguistic and grammatical characteristics of the Italian language. The aim is to develop a broad range of skills, but in particular, fluency of expression and grammatical accuracy enabling the student to interact in situations both in daily life and working world. An initial placement test , taken before the course begins, estabilishes the student's level of Italian. At the end of the course, students are examined in listenings, speaking reading and writing. Upon successful completion of the examination, the students who have paid the required fee, are offered a " Certificate of Studies" . The certificate have been calibrated according to the Council of Europe Levels (Beginners, A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).

Our school have full-time staff in charge of accommodation and welfare. We do our best to provide information you need and make the arrangements for any form of accommodation you may choose. Here are some types of accommodation offered. Apartment (indipendent) : small furnished one bedroom apartments, bathroom and equpped with cooking facilities. Apartment (shared): furnished apartments with living room, kitchen, two single or double bedrooms, bathroom, washing machine. Homestay: families or host ladies are selected and we visit them regularly, to make that we can provide comfortable homes and friendly hosts. Single or double rooms with half board.

We are a family for the students, our teacher organize activites weekly. They visit museums and parks with a teacher as guide. They are true out door history of art lessons. Rome offers all kinds of monuments and museums and there is always something to discover! Every month we have a party to welcome the new students with delicious italian ice cream or pizza. At the end of the course we have a lunch with the food from all over the world. During the Summer courses we organize trips to famous touristic sites.
