Our methodology is based on the concept of total immersion in the Spanish language. All materials integrate Spanish language education in the four linguistic abilities: speaking, comprehension, reading and writing. Accommodation

Homestay: yes
Apartments: yes
Campus-dorms: no

Other:
Hotel
Homestay: Our families, all of which are carefully screened and accustomed to hosting foreign students, live within the area of the school so that students may either walk to class each day or take the bus. The host families are patient and extend themselves to help our student to learn Spanish. With the families, our participants are totally immersed in the Costa Rican culture and have the opportunity to practice Spanish daily. The family provides participants with breakfast, dinner or lunch as well as laundry service. The standard of living of the host families is considered middle class by Costa Rican standard. In general, participants find a simpler way of life than to which they are accustomed to. However, Costa Rica is not a typical developing country and many homes have the same consumer items which are found in North America and Europe. Our participants have a room of their own.
