The Canadian Business English Institute offers one of the most comprehensive business English programs in Canada, the English for Work and Business (EWB) Program. This program is modular and has three levels of English proficiency (intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced). It includes the following courses: business oral skills, business writing skills, and international business. The program is structured around modules on entrepreneurship, marketing, management, finance, law, and international trade, and is available all the months of the year. Our other business English program, the Business English Practicum, combines business English studies with an internship. In this program, we place students in Canadian companies where they can use the business English and cross-cultural skills they have learned in our classes, while they gain practical experience related to their professions or fields of studies. To be eligible for this program, students must study at least one month in our English for Work and Business Program and have an advanced level of English. We also offer an intensive General English Program (English preparation). This program focuses on the English skills needed by students, tourists or the general public. It is also suitable for those who are preparing to enter our EWB program. The program has three components: writing and grammar, oral and listening skills, and reading and vocabulary development. It is available at the upper beginner, intermediate and upper intermediate levels.
