Clark College is a community college providing two-year transfer degree studies, technical training and basic skills classes to more than 12,500 full-time and part-time students each quarter. It is the third largest college in the Washington State system of 35 community and technical colleges.
At Clark College the English as a Non-Native Language Program is designed to meet the specific needs of international students. The intensive classes focus on reading, writing and speaking skills necessary for participation in regular Clark College courses. Students also learn about American culture and life in the Pacific Northwest.
The Location
Vancouver, Washington sits on the north bank of the Columbia River directly across from Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Coast is less than 90 miles to the west. The Cascade Mountain Range rises on the east. Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument and Mt. Hood are less than two hours away. The spectacular Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area lies 30 minutes to the east. Vancouver combines the excitement of a major metropolitan area with small-town charm and abundant recreational opportunities.

Activities
At Clark College, you can participate in a variety of extracurricular activities in order to gain valuable learning experiences outside the classroom. Clark proudly sponsors a nationally-ranked speech and debate team, an award-winning student newspaper, critically acclaimed theater productions, instrumental and vocal music groups which perform locally and on tour, athletic programs including intercollegiate teams competing in volleyball, basketball, track and soccer; a Model United Nations leadership program and an active student government. In addition, several student organizations (such as Ski Club, International Club, Engineering Club, Geology Club and others) are active on campus.
