ABRIL ESCUELA DE ESPAÑOL is established in Spain (Alcalá de Henares-Madrid), with a high quality team, both teaching and administrative. We defend quality in teaching. This forces us to reject temporary teachers, less qualified. In order to guarantee quality ABRIL relies on full time teachers who work with us all through the year. In this way we can assure that our students will feel satisfied about our pedagogical method. With the purpose of paying personal and quality attention to our students ABRIL should limit the number of students in its centers to a maximum of 50. Our offer includes those services the students require: high quality accommodation (Spanish families, shared apartments, hotels), cultural activities, pick up service from/to the airport,… Our centre is located in an excellent place, where the students can find everything they need.

Alcalá de Henares is located 25 km east of Madrid. It is a historical city with approximately 175,000 inhabitants so you will have all of the comforts of home: shopping malls, post offices, cinemas, theatres, cafeterias, exhibition halls, Internet Cafés. As it is close to Madrid, it is very easy to go to the centre of the Spanish capital by train or by bus every 10 minutes. For that reason Alcalá can offer all the advantages of Madrid and at the same time it can avoid all its disadvantages. Alcalá de Henares was declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1998. The city maintains an important academic tradition, as the University of Alcala is one of the oldest in Spain. In addition, the city is dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes, who is the author of the Spanish classic Don Quixote: Cervantes was born in Alcalá de Henares. From Alcalá de Henares you will be able to visit comfortably cities like Segovia, Ávila, Toledo or Cuenca, since they are so close and there are many ways of getting there.

Course Four - is ideally suited for students who wish to learn Spanish at a reasonably fast pace but, at the same time, have sufficient time to enjoy the Spanish lifestyle. Course Five's - schedule is essentially that of Course Four together with one additional 55 minute lesson. This course is aimed at students who either wish to prepare specifically for examinations or who would like to learn more about Spain and Spanish culture. In the first lesson of Course Five's daily timetable (9:00 a.m. - 9:55 p.m.), students at either basic or intermediate level may attend a class in Spanish Culture (Level I) only. Course Six's its structure is the same as that of COURSE FIVE, but with one more hour of class. One-to-one: You can ask for the number of individual hours that you wish so that a professor teaches you in an individual and personalized way. You can also combine Course Four, Course Five or Course Six with one extra individual hour. Annual Course - Its structure is the same one as the one of COURSE FOUR, but its duration is 32 weeks. Non Native Teacher's Course - Abril ESCUELA DE ESPAÑOL offers a specific course for those Spanish professors and teachers who develop their work throughout the world.

Homestay - To live with a Spanish family is the best way to get to know the culture and the customs. In addition it is a guarantee that you will practice your Spanish that you have learned in your class every day. Appartments - You can share an apartment with two, three or four students. To live with other students will allow you to meet people from other countries and to maintain a totally independent lifestyle. Hotel - ABRIL ESCUELA DE ESPAÑOL can reserve a double room or an individual one in a hotel or an inn.

In addition to the courses and the lodging at Abril Escuela de Español the students are welcome to join our social/cultural activities. If you participate in this programme you will be able to meet your companions as well as relate better with the other students from the school and, at the same time, practice your Spanish because you will always be accompanied by a professor of the school. The program of the Social and Cultural activities includes three weekly activities and one excursion every week. The activities are intended both to amuse and to teach our students, so that they know different elements from Spanish history and culture.
