The town of Brighton is one of the most exciting in the country. It has miles of seafront and a wide range of entertainment and facilities. In addition to the many restaurants, pubs and night clubs there is plenty to keep you busy. Churchill Square is the modern shopping centre packed with lots of well known stores. The Lanes, which is the oldest part of Brighton, is full of little shops and souvenirs. Brighton Pavilion, the Royal Palace, is now an interesting museum in the centre of the town. There are also many other museums, art galleries, theatres and cinemas. So if you want a busy fun-filled stay or a quiet relaxing time taking in the cultural sights, Brighton has it all and it's only 55 minutes from London.

Classes are mixed nationality students with qualified native-English speaking teachers. Our maximum class size is 10 to 11 students as we find larger classes are as not good for giving students individual attention and allowing an opportunity for everyone in the class to contribute. All students take a grading test when they arrive to determine their level and will join a class of students of a similar level of English. All our courses have a textbook to work from and the teacher will use many other materials and media within the class, for example: video recording, newspapers, Internet and CD-ROMs. The teacher will use a variety of methods and activities of methods and activities to make sure you learn as quickly and as effective as possible. The activities within the class will range from individual study, working with a partner, working in a group and working as a whole class. The school wants you to learn as quickly as possible and will give you homework and extra study materials.

Host Family
During the course you will be living with an host family that has been personally inspected and chosen by us as the most suitable for English language students. Your hosts will be very friendly and approachable and you will be living with them as one of the family. You will have your own single room which includes a desk and light to study. Bath or shower facilities are shared with the rest of the family. Morning and evening meals are included in the accommodation price. Please tell us on the enrolment form if you have any special needs for food.

Our task is for you to learn English, but we also want you to enjoy our town and country to get the most out of being here. We have a programme of activities during the week and at weekends so you can meet others and English people. Typical activities may include: a welcome party for new students, a visit to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, a day trip to London, a sports afternoon in the park, a theatre visit, a cafe afternoon (a great chance to chat with your friends over coffee), and a pub night out in Brighton.
