When you stay in Folkestone your accommodation is as important as your course. When you are happy in your ‘home’, you are happy with your friends and your studies.
Our promise is that you stay with a good host family who are helpful and friendly. You have breakfast and dinner with your family from Monday to Friday and all meals at the weekend.
Your family will talk to you and involve you in their lives. This means you have lots of opportunity to practise your English.
As most families live nearby, the school is usually only a 10 to 20 minute walk away.
All families are different – some have children, some have pets, some are older, some are single parents. Whatever the family they look after you and make your stay a pleasure.
If you are on an executive course you have a private bathroom.
Private Homes
Private homes are offered to adults (students aged 18 or older) only and can accommodate up to six students. In this type of accommodation, you are more independent and the host may not eat with you at mealtimes.
Please note that hotels and guest houses are available on request

Your Social Programme
An important part of your stay is your time outside of class. This is time to practise your English in a fun environment with your friends.
To help you make your time interesting and useful we organize activities for you as follows:
* two evenings a week of free in-school activities. These are designed to create fun and excitement with your friends. It is not only the activity that creates the fun but also how it is set up and who leads it. Our team of teachers and staff make sure you laugh all evening with competitions, quizzes and games and that every event is memorable.
* one ‘pay as you go’ evening event. This could be a pop concert at the local theatre, a bowling trip to a local town, an evening ice skating or even a karaoke night at a pub.
* one ‘pay as you go’ full-day excursion. This could be to one of the many interesting destinations near Folkestone, such as London, Oxford, or Windsor.
Please note that some activities depend on there being enough students who want to take part.
